- A burglar allegedly broke into the Ghana High Commission office in London
- The London Metropolitan Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the alleged burglary
A man allegedly burgled into the Ghana High Commission at the Belgrave Square in London Monday, June 25, 2018.
The Graphic Online reports that a middle-aged man of Caribbean background took undue advantage of a motor rally in the area and burgled into the Ghana High Commission through the back door.
The raider reportedly entered the office complex where the kitchen is and forcibly entered the premises.
However, the man was caught after an alarm was raised to ignite a swift intervention by the Police, a source close to the Ghana Mission in London said.
He was subsequently arrested after some scuffle with the police and is said to have been admitted at an undisclosed hospital in London under police guard.
“It is not deemed as a suspected terrorism” but we are waiting for the police to finish their investigations,” a source noted, as quoted by the Graphic Online.
The case is currently before the London Metropolitan Police, who are investigating circumstances surrounding an alleged burglary.
Meanwhile, investigations are still on ongoing and will be made public when full investigations have been concluded, a spokesperson at the press office at the Metropolitan office said.
