England’s Three Lions’ winger Fabian Delph is expected to jet down in the UK on Friday, after leaving the team's World Cup base in Russia ahead of his wife giving birth.
The Manchester City player was in action from the start in England’s narrow loss to Belgium’s Red Devils on Thursday night in Kaliningrad and left for England to be beside his partner Natalie.
According to the UK Sun report, the English FA are aware that the Citizens' forward headed straight for UK from Kaliningrad, as the couple are expecting their third child on Saturday.
The 28-year-old Delph, disclosed that he held takes with England’s manager, Gareth Southgate over what he termed “domestic situation”.
"Gareth’s been absolutely fantastic.
"There’s nothing more important than family to me, it always comes first and always will.
"If I do have the opportunity to get back I will. But if not, my wife is tough lass, she’ll deal with it,” said Delaph.
Already, Phil Jones and partner, Kaya welcomed a daughter Alaria, ten days before the Three Lions’ jetted off for the Mundial.
On the hand, Three Lions’ star defender John Stones is not a doubt for England’s fixture against Colombia on Tuesday.
During Thursday’s fixture against Belgium, the Manchester City defender was substituted at half-time against and followed proceedings from the bench with a heavily strapped leg.
However, Three Lions’ boss disclosed that he only wanted to play Stones for 45 minutes while Harry Maguire gets another 45 minutes too.
