- Winner of Miss Ghana 2002 has revealed she is planning to work together with Anas Aremeyaw Anas to expose men who demand sex in return for favours
- According to her, when she emerged winner of the beauty pageant in 2002, she never had it easy
Winner of the Miss Ghana pageantry in 2002, Shaida Buari Nubi, has indicated that she is planning to team up with undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to expose unscrupulous men who usually want to take advantage of women.
According to her, she has been a victim such circumstances many times, but it took her strong personality and the grace of God to pull through without succumbing.
She further recounted her experience when she contested the Miss Ghana pageantry in 2002, stating that many men approached her demanding sex in exchange for a favour.
The former beauty queen added that the sex-for-favour phenomenon is even prevalent in the oil and gas industry, where she currently works.
“I came across a lot of men who said if you want to get sponsored, let me sleep with you. The sex-for-favour phenomenon abounds. Till today, even within the oil and gas industry [where I work] it’s prevalent,” Shaida said on Queens Arena on Angel TV.
“It all boils down to morality. Thankfully, I can beat my chest that I never allowed myself to be used by any man. No man had sex with me in the name of Miss Ghana,” she added.
She, therefore, revealed plans to team up with Anas and his Tiger Eye PI crew in exposing men who demand sex from women in return for favours.

Her comments follow numerous allegations of sexual harassment from past winners of pageantries in the country.
Some have even gone as far as saying that the organisers usually send them out to these unscrupulous men all in the name of getting sponsorships.
