He enjoys a very large fan base which he has dubbed the Shatta Movement (SM), a branch of which is the SM Divas.

Shatta Wale is often in the news for very controversial reasons.

It will be recalled that about two weeks ago, Shatta Wale mistakenly shared an adult video of two guys and the lady on his Snap.

According to sources, the video which had a lady having the 'rod' a man believed to Shatta Wale in her mouth was taken at a hotel at Nima where Shatta Wale and his SM Militant had gone to shoot the video for their new song ‘Thunder Fire’.

Later information suggested that the lady in the video was one of the leading members of the SM Divas who was even very close to Shatta Michy.

But one of Shatta Wale's trusted lieutenants, Natty Lee came to claim the video saying he was the one in the video and that it had been mistakenly posted to Shatta's Snapchat because he (Shatta) had borrowed his phone to check something online after running out of battery on set.

And though Shatta Wale came to confirm the story and apologise for the unfortunate video, followers seem not to have forgotten and have shown reminded him of what happened the last time he was around SM Divas.
