Ahead of the ruling New Patriotic Party's (NPP) delegates conference to elect national officers in Koforidua on July 7, a report from the National Security revealing winners has reportedly leaked.
According to a report YEN.com.gh sighted on PrimeNewsGhana, the leaked report indicates that Freddie Blay, F. F. Antoh, Rita Talata Asobayire, Omari Waddie, John Boadu, Sammi Awuku, Abankwa Yeboah, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) and Kate Gyamfua will win their respective contests to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.
Acting National Chairman, Freddie Blay , the report said, will win by 53% margin as against 47% by Stephen Ntim while F. F. Antoh is expected to be elected as the 1st Vice Chairman with Rita Talata Asobayire and Omari Wadie as the 2nd Vice Chairperson and 3rd Vice Chairman respectively.
Acting General Secretary, John Boadu is expected o win a landslide victory with 78% of valid votes cast as against 22% by Richard Ahiagbah.
For the national organiser position, current youth organiser, Sammi Awuku is expected to emerge with an emphatic endorsement of 94%.
The current National Treasurer of the NPP, Abankwa Yeboah is likely to narrowly win by 41% with Mary Porch and Nuhu Mahama trailing closely with 39% and 20% respectively.
Henry Nana Boakye aka Nana B is also expected to win the National Youth Organizer race which seems to be the most fiercely contested Position. The polls show 55.6% of delegates voting for Nana B: 22.22% voting for Dominic Kwesi Eduah: 21.9% voting for Kamal-Deen Abdulai: and 0.28% voting for Nana Bediako.
Kate Gyamfua is said to emerge as the National Women’s Organizer of the N.PP according to the polls. The polls show 58% of the delegates voting for Kate Gyamfuah whiles the remaining 42% vote for Joyce Konokie Zempare.
The report is said to be the result of a poll conducted for one month which ended on the 29th June 2018.
The sample size was 4.121 delegates drawn from the 275 constituencies, 10 Regional Executive Committees, 187 TESCON branches across the country, diaspora delegates, MMDCEs, Ministers and deputy ministers of state.
Meanwhile, Freddie Blay has partly fulfilled his campaign promise of providing 275 mini buses for the party's constituencies.
The first batch of 100 mini buses out have arrived in the country and are going through clearing processes at the Tema port.
