It is nothing more than karma at work, as a suspected thief fell into a well and had to be rescued.
Peter Ackon, aged 25, slipped and ended up in the well as he tried to dismantle and take away a mechanised pump attached to a borehole.
YEN.com.gh understands that on Monday, July 2, 2018, the complainant, Adomako Ansah, around 4am, heard shouts for help under his culvert well and proceeded to investigate it.
Together with one Michael Newton, they headed to the police station to report the incident.
The Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Olivia Adiku, who is the Western Regional Police PRO, said a team then went to the house to see the suspect still trapped in the well.
According to her, the police spent several hours in their attempt to assist Ackon, who fell unconscious as the rescue process was ongoing.
He was taken to the Kwesimintsim Government Hospital, where he was treated and discharged and later placed in police custody pending further investigations.
