NPP National Delegate’s Conference underway in Koforidua

- Dozens of NPP members have gathered at the Eastern regional capital to elect top national executives of the party

- The National Delegate's Conference is currently underway in Koforidua amid pomp and pageantry

Top ranking members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), delegates as well as dozens of party grassroots members have converged at the Eastern Regional Capital, Koforidua decide top executives of the NPP in the next 4 years.

The NPP National Delegate’s conference which is slated today, July 7, 2018 at the Koforidua Technical University, has about 41 approved and vetted members of the party who are vying for various executive positions.

The positions include National Chairperson – First, Second and Third-, General Secretary, National Treasurer and as well as the National Organizer.

The rest are National Women Organizer, National Youth Organizer and National Coordinator.

The NPP delegate’s conference over weeks has witnessed some level of controversies as the acting National Chairman Freddie Blay has been accused by Stephen Ntim, a close competitor of engaging in ‘vote buying’ by purchasing some 275 buses for the party’s constituencies across the country.

Meanwhile, some trending photos of cash, bundled with the faces of Stephen Ntim have gone viral on various social media platforms, but the top NPP man has described as a ploy by saboteurs to discredit his campaign for the National Chairmanship position.
