- Kweku Baako has disclosed attempts by some people to establish Anas Aremeyaw Anas' identity
- He stated that he will not support such attempts as there is no clear objective for that action
- He added that Anas remains calm about such attempts
Veteran Ghanaian journalist, Kweku Baako, has reacted to attempts by some people to reveal the identity of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo programme, he stated that Anas remains unfazed by attempts to establish his identity.
He went on to say that he will not be drawn into attempts by some people to confirm the identity of the journalist.
Anas has always had his identity disguised with respect to his work, but attempts to unmask him have been on the increase since the release of his latest investigative piece, Number 12.
In Baako’s opinion, such acts are motivated by a murderous intent, but Anas was not in the least worried.
"There's no fear in him; he's been empowered to the extent not to fear. If you have fear, you will have been neutralized and immobilized.
That is what fear does and there is no fear in him. Fortunately, he's in good company when it comes to people who are not afraid of anything or anybody", Baako explained.
He added that he found it interesting that certain persons had chosen to focus on Anas' identity and have circulated images purported to be the investigative journalist.
To him, there is no point in the that course of action, as there is no moral objective being pursued in that respect.
