- The Red Devils have shown interest in signing Leicester City defender Harry Maguire
- The 25-year-old has been impressive for the English national team at the ongoing World Cup in Russia
- He scored one of the goals that helped the Three Lions conquer Sweden in their last eight clash earlier this month
Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City's Harry Maguire this summer.
The Red Devils have signed a few players during this summer transfer window but still needed to strengthen his backline.
They have identified the 25-year-old as their target and they will be forced to pay as much as £50 million to secure the signature of the defender.
The Foxes signed Maguire last year in a deal around £17 million from Hull City but his value has gone up following his impressive performance for England at the ongoing World Cup in Russia.
He scored one of the two goals that saw the Three Lions overcome Sweden at the quarterfinal stage of the tournament.
He was said to have made Gareth Southgate's squad due to his mental toughness, reasons United bosses are considering a move for him this summer.
Maguire could replace Phil Jones or Chris Smalling in Jose Mourinho's line-up, as he has done with England.
Maguire has been one of the Foxes' stand-out players this season since his £16m move from Hull last summer.
The 25-year-old was handed his England debut last August and he made Gareth Southgate’s recently released squad for the World Cup in Russia.
