Controversial Ghanaian rapper, Emmanuel Botway, widely known as Kwaw Kese, has burst out again, describing Ghanaian politicians as ‘thieves’.
According to the Fante rapper, majority of Ghanaians, especially political leaders lack ‘common sense’.
Few days ago, the outspoken musician released a video, where he rained curses on Ghanaian politicians seeking for their interests and that of their family at the expense of the general public.
Kwaw Kese who was visibly angry called on God to continue punishing Ghana and strike political leaders with deaths.
The musician who seems to have been angered by the poor state of Ghana’s health sector after losing his newborn baby, blamed Ghanaian leaders of neglect.
To him, it was unacceptable for one person within a political party to acquire 275 buses just to retain power while the whole of the Ghana Health Service has only 55 ambulances for emergency response.
“It’s stupidity for one politician to buy 275 buses for a political party just because he is looking for power. Go to Korle-bu and children’s hospital and see, patience sleep on the floor without care,” the rapper lamented in an Instagram video.
However, Kwaw Kese who appears to have received heavy backlash after the video went viral has justified his actions.
The ‘angry’ rapper in yet another Instagram video has explained that he is not targeting any political group, but only stating ‘common sense’ which is obvious to all.
“Ah Ghana paa, when we talk about common sense, then people are politicizing it. I don’t support any political party. I won’t vote for somebody’s father to come and tell me ‘nonsense,” Kwaw Kese expressed anger.
“Common sense is if politicians are stealing millions of dollars, and we the ordinary Ghanaians are suffering, people are lying on the floors in various hospitals and when I speak about it, then you go about politicizing and defending the ‘stupid’ politicians,” the musician fired.
Rapper, Kwaw Kese and his wife, Doris Kyei Baffour, recently lost their newborn baby at the Korle-bu Teaching hospital, barely 24 hours after delivery.
