The Chief of Tamale, Naa Dakpema Mohammed Dawuni Alhassan has died at age 76.
According to Graphic.com.gh report, Naa Alhassan died at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) on Saturday where he was receiving treatment after a short illness.
The Dakpema Palace Assistant Secretary, Alhaji Iddrisu Alhassan, who confirmed his demise said he will be buried on Sunday in line with Islamic tradition.

Further reports state that the chief was taken to the hospital on Friday, July 13, 2018 after he complained of not feeling well.
Naa Dakpema Mohammed Dawuni Alhassan was enskinned in the year 2008.
He was the main mediator in almost all major disputes among various factions in the Tamale metropolis in the Northern Region.
