Women must be submissive for marriages to survive- Kalsoum Sinare

- Kalsoum Sinare has advised women to be submissive and respectful to their husband for a successful marriage

- The actress has been married for 24 years to former Ghanaian footballer Tony Baffoe

Veteran Ghanaian actress, Kalsoum Sinare, has shared the secret of her 24 year-old marriage with former Ghana national footballer Anthony Baffoe.

Indeed, the longevity of Sinare's marriage is a fact that does not support recent trends.

Various reasons have been given for why marriages are increasingly failing. Some say it is because we are in an era of disposables so much that even marriages are easy to dispose off.

Kalsoum Sinare believes that the reason for staying in a marriage for as long as possible is for women to be submissive. She believes that a respectful wife was the most necessary reason for a successful marriage.

As reported by Mynewsgh, the actress said: “Marriage is a life-long journey. There’s always ups and downs because the journey isn’t smooth.

But then, as a woman you’ve to respect and be submissive to your husband in order to keep the marriage going. More importantly, God first in everything and that’s my secret in my 24 years of marriage.”

Sinare's perspective is shared by many Ghanaians. However, with the modernisation of the Ghanaian woman into an increasingly self-dependent being, there is push back against people like Sinare.
