Ebony tops nominations for 2018 Ghana Music Awards UK

The late Ghanaian dancehall diva, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, widely known as Ebony, has gained top nominations at the upcoming 2018 Ghana Music Awards in the United Kingdom.

According to Nydjlive.com report, Ebony is leading pack of nominations in all categories in this year’s awards.

The celebrated musician, who passed away in a gory accident, continues to ‘reign’ above her industry colleagues both home and abroad, even in her death.

According to the nominations list released, out of the 31 categories, Ebony is leading in about 10 categories, above all artistes in Ghana.

Some of the categories nominated by Ebony includes Gospel Song of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year Reggae / Dancehall Artiste of the Year and many others.

The 2018 Ghana Music Awards UK is slated for October 6, 2018 at the Gaumont Palace, Wood Green in London.

Ebony's latest UK nominations have got many fans on social media talking, with some entertainment pundits predicting at least at least five awards out of the 10 categories nominated.

Meanwhile, the manager of the late dancehall artiste, Ricky Nana Agyemang, aka Bullet is yet to comment on Ebony’s UK nominations.

Ebony met her untimely death at the peak of her music career in a gory accident on Sunyani-Kumasi highway on February 8, this year.

The talented singer who has left Ghanaians with her great legacies was laid to final rest at the Osu cemetery in Accra on March 24, 2018.

Some Ghanaian artistes who have been as well nominated in this year's awards include King Promise, Wutah, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, MzVee and R2Bees.
