Manchester United’s Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly plotting a huge deal for Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Thiago Alcantara.
According to a UK Sun report citing sources at The Independent, Mourinho is eager to strengthen reinforce his attack and midfield this summer and are considering whether to attempt bringing the duo to Old Trafford this summer.
Already, the former Chelsea manager rates Polish forward Lewandowski highly, although the Red Devils would face a tough warfare to sign the experienced goals poacher.
The 29-year-old is currently on the radar of the duo of Real Madrid and Chelsea.
On the other hand, 27-year-old former Barcelona player Thiago almost switch base to the Premier League giants in 2013 but was pressured to move to the Bundesliga by former Barca boss Pep Guardiola persuaded him to join Bayern instead.
The report further revealed that Thiago is still hoping to see if eggheads of the La Liga champions’ will take him back to familiar terrain this summer.
The Red Devils are eager to splash the money in their bid to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign where they are working towards beating city rivals, Manchester City to the Premier League title.
