Premier League side Chelsea are reportedly linked with a shocking move for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart to replace Thibaut Courtois.

According to a UK sun report, Chelsea are risking the wrath of Blues supporters after listing the £5million out-of-favour Manchester City shot-stopper, who could not make the Three Lions squad to the just concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after a miserable loan spell at West Ham.

Chelsea goalkeeper Courtois the report suggests in on the wish list of the Los Blancos and has not penned a new deal with the West London side as he enters the last 12 months of his Chelsea contract.

Interestingly, the Blues eggheads rate the 31-year-old goalkeeper highly, even though he failed to make the English squad to the World Cup and being forced to go on loan by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The England international is seen as a possible option by Chelsea new manager Maurizio Sarri thanks to his small price tag alongside boosting the club’s count of homegrown squad members.

However, the report further stressed that any deal could possibly upset Chelsea supporters after he failed to claim the No 1 slot while on loan at London rivals Hammers.

The goalkeeper was shipped to Serie A side Torino the season before last, after he was declared surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium.

At the moment, Hart is on pre-season tour of the United States of America with the Manchester City squad members.

The shot-stopper has 12 months left on his present deal at Manchester City, so the Citizens are in a position to sell or risk losing him for nothing.
