- A photo of John Dumelo and Fredrick Amanor has gone viral
- John Dumelo has explained that the photo was taken long ago
- Dumelo also condemned the conduct Amanor in the viral video in which he beat up a woman in a banking hall
YEN.com.gh has sighted a photo of the popular actor, John Dumelo, with the policeman who beat up a woman in a bank hanging out.
In the photo which has been trending since news broke of the policeman's behaviour, Dumelo and the embattled policeman, who was in uniform, were seen posing for a picture.
Lance Corporal as reported by YEN.com.gh was spotted in a viral video beating Patience Sarfo, a hawker around Okponglo in Accra, who was in the banking hall of Midland Savings and Loans to withdraw her ‘susu’ savings.
According to reports, the woman had heard that the bank was facing possible liquidation and so she wanted to take all the money she had saved with them.
However, the financial institution failed to allow her to withdraw her money and called on the police officer who was on security duty in the banking hall to drive her away.
The lady, however, persisted and this led to the policeman beating her up mercilessly.
The video has generated a lot of interest from Ghanaians with many condemning the police officer, Fredrick Amanor, for his conduct.
It is not known what led to the policeman, who has been identified as Fredrick Amanor, and Dumelo taking a photo.
But YEN.com.gh gathers that the photo was circulated on social media in an attempt to help people identify the policeman as the video popped up.
Judging from the picture, it looks like it must have been taken a while back and Dumelo has swiftly pointed it out stating that the picture must have been taken ages ago.
In an obvious attempt to disassociate himself from Amanor, Dumelo condemned his conduct.
Meanwhile, a police officer has allegedly killed the driver of a bullion van he was escorting.
According to reports, the police officer shot the driver at Odumase Krobo in the Eastern Region after the bullion van run into a funeral procession in the town.
In an attempt to disperse the rowdy crowd and restore order for the van to move, the police officer decided to fire some warning shots.
But he mistakenly shot the driver of the bullion van dead.
