Latest music sensation, Wendy Shay, has revealed that she had a very good relationship with Ebony Reigns before her untimely death.
According to Wendy, she met and familiarised with Ebony even before joining RuffTown Records officially.
"Even before joining the label I met Ebony and we got on very well together. After I joined, I considered her as a little sister," she explained in an interview with Abeiku Santana on UTV's 'Atuu' show.
Wendy Shay joined RuffTown, the record label of Ebony earlier in the year but that was overshadowed by the death of Ebony on February 8.
She was officially introduced to Ghanaians at the 2018 VGMAs, a little over two months after Ebony's tragic accident.
Since that time, Wendy has often been described as Ebony's replacement even though RuffTown CEO, Ricky Osei Agyemang (Bullet) stated at the time that Wendy was not a replacement for Ebony.
Reacting to the comparison, Wendy stated that she saw it as normal because people will always compare them since they come from the same label.
"Moreover, people are always going to wonder if she can get to the level Ebony did," she added.
Both songs are doing really well with Uber Driver already clocking over one million views on YouTube.
But her journey so far has not been devoid of controversies.
Born Wendy Addo, Wendy Shay is a Ghanaian with ties to Germany. She has lived most of her life in Stuttgart.
