Brazilian legend Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima was sighted enjoying a summer vacation in a luxurious yacht with his partner Celina Locks off Spain’s island of Formentera after the Word Cup in Russia.
According to a UK Sun report, the 41-year-old Ronaldo who was a nemesis to opposing defenders during his active days was also caught on camera taking a plunge off the boat.
The former Los Blancos star was at the global football fiesta supporting Brazil’s Selecao before they were sent packing by Belgium’s Red Devils in the quarter-final rounds.
However, Ronaldo appears to have moved on from the heartbreak as he enjoyed himself at the Mediterranean Sea.
The Brazilian will always be remembered as one of the world’s most potent goals poacher in history, netting 62 times in 98 appearances for Brazil’s Selecao.
Ronaldo quit active football in 2011 after failing to overcome a fight "against his own body".
Speaking during a press conference in 2011, the Brazilian said: "I've lost the struggle against my body.
"The ones who are close to me know the truth: I can't go upstairs without feeling.
"I gave my life to football and made incredibly sacrifices. I don't regret anything."
The former Inter Milan star equally opened up on why he suffered with weight issues during his active days.
"Four years ago in Milan I found out that I was suffering from a problem that is called hypothyroidism, a complaint which slows your metabolism.
"To control it I would have to take medication which is considered illegal in football.
"A lot of people feel bad about their comments on my weight: I just wanted to explain that, now that I have reached the end."
