We will sweep Mills' graveyard if you can't keep it clean - NDC tells gov't

- The NDC is sad over the state of filth at the burial ground of John Evans Atta Mills

- Koku Anyidohu has hinted the NDC party could take up sweeping the burial ground of the former president

- July 23rd marks the 6th anniversary of the former president's demise

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has bemoaned the level of stench and untidiness at the burial grounds of the late President Mills.

A deputy general secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyidoho, wants more answers to this development as he blamed the government for looking on for the filth at the Asomdwe Park to build up.

According to Koku Anyidoho, the government must either improve sanitation at the former president's burial ground or they do it themselves.

“If government cannot take good care of the place then, they should declare it, because we know its the government`s responsibility, because even if you want to go there, you need to seek permission from the national security, so I can’t just go there, but in case government says it can’t do anything about it, then if they should leave it to individuals, I believe friends, family and loved ones will contribute to making it well,” he stated in an interview with Kasapa FM in Accra.

YEN.com.gh has gathered from a report on Graphic.com.gh that the presidential mausoleum, the Asomdwe Park, as well as the burial ground are all crying for help.

In celebrating the 6th anniversary of John Evans Atta Mills on July 24th, there is nothing special to say about remnants of the late president.

The Asomdwe Park, which also contains a library, has been turned to a brothel where people come from far and near to engage in intimate relations.

A call for justice against Mills's death

The maternal family of the late president says it will strictly assist any government interested in mounting an independent investigation into his death.

"If the opinion of the country is that it should be done, then it has to be done. If the investigation into what killed President Mills was done during the NDC’s tenure, many people would not have believed the outcome,” The first cousin to the former president, Ato Harry Brew revealed,

Cause of Atta Mills's death

Cadman Mills, the brother of the late President John Evans Atta Mills, has denied assertions that the former president died of throat cancer, which he got from engaging in oral sex.

Cadman said the official autopsy report of his late brother showed that he died of a "very massive stroke."

Cadman said days before Mills died, he complained of severe neck pain and sensitivity to light. He said the symptoms pointed to the very beginning of a stroke.

"Let's tell the truth. He didn’t die of throat cancer …I know he will forgive me. Prof Mills had a growth in his sinuses and it was quite sizable, that some people call precancerous, others call cancerous, I don’t know," he said.
