Asiedu Nketiah cries at Amissah-Arthur's funeral

- The general secretary of the NDC is attending the funeral of the vice president

- The burial of Amissah-Arthur will be buried on Friday July 29 in Accra

The general secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia was caught on camera has he broke into tears at the former vice-president Kwesi Amissah-Arthur's funeral.

The event took place at Accra International Conference Centre. The body of the former vice president was laid in state pending burial on Friday July 27.

According to the reports from the Citinewsroom.com, the NDC general secretary could not hold back as the body of the late leader was whisked into view.

The former vice president lost his life at the 37 Military Hospital on June 29 this year. He was rushed to the hospital following what has been described as a heart failure during a gym session.

At the laying in state on Thursday, officials of state and top members of the NDC were in attendance. Members of the general public also came to pay their respects.

Kwesi Amissah-Arthur will be buried at the military cemetery in Accra, which is contrary to expectations that he was going to be buried in his hometown of Cape Coast.

There will also be a memorial service held in his honour on Sunday July 29 at the Calvary Methodist Church.
