Ghanaians, have in recent times, been exposed to stories of unprofessional activities by people, with respect to the Ghana Police Service.
Some officers, as well as ordinary individuals, have, under the auspices of the service, conducted themselves in an way unexpected of such people.

1. Midland Saving and Loans Company Limited:
The company suffered a serious case of bad publicity when a security man posted to the Shiashie branch reportedly beat up a woman carrying a baby.
2. Highway robbery:
A policeman allegedly killed three armed robbers and injured four others as they tried to steal from passengers on board a bus moving from Techiman to Sunyani
3. Police recruitment scammer:
A 33-year-old man, Joshua Asante, is in police grips for scamming his own church members. He posed as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) recruiting personnel for the service.
4. Drunk policeman on trotro:
YEN.com.gh also reported of a policeman who boarded a commercial vehicle as he was heavily drunk. The officer, who had a gun in his possession at the time, is reported to be part of the Madina Divisional Police
5. Allegations of sexual activities of policemen:
Fourteen policemen were recently interdicted by the Ghana Police Service for acts of sexual misconduct during their time in Sudan.
