Manchester United winger Anthony Martial has lashed out at Jose Mourinho saying his family comes first before any other thing.

The France international left the Red Devils US preseason camp a week ago to witness the birth of his second child, named Swan.

Apparantely, the mother went through complications during the delivery, hence the reason for the forward to stay beyond the period given to him by the club.

And as a result of his lateness to return to the club, the Old Trafford bosses have slammed a £180,000 fine on the French star - which equates to two weeks' wages .

However, the striker seem not disturbed as the speculation surrounding him leaving the club in this summer's transfer window continues to grow.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Martial wrote in French: "Thank you all for your messages. My little Swan is well, it was more difficult for the mum but thanks to God she is better now. I'm sorry but my family will always come first. Back in Manchester tomorrow."

It is no news that Mourinho has no further use for the 22-year-old with the arrival of Alexis Sanches in January and Marcus Rashford, who can also play from that position.

Meanwhile, a price of £70 million has been placed on him as the Premier League club are hoping to cash in on the want away striker.

Unfortunately, the Red Devils have not been able to lock any player that can fit into the position down all summer long, with Inter Milan and Croatia star Ivan Perisic having emerged as Mourinho's top target.

After United ended their US tour with a 2-1 win in Miami over reigning European champions Real Madrid, Mourinho was asked if Martial would be leaving.

Mourinho dodged that question, saying: "Anthony Martial is better for Karen [United's press officer] to answer if she wants to answer."

The United boss was pressed on whether Martial would be part of his squad upon their return to Manchester and would only say: "I don't know."
