5 ministries that should be 'consolidated' just like the affected banks

On Wednesday, August 1, 2018, the Bank of Ghana announced the creation of a new bank named Ghana Consolidated Bank Limited.

It was created out of a merger of five indigenous banks which were allegedly facing challenges with respect to the required minimum reserve of GHC450, 000,000.

YEN.com.gh brings to you some ministries that could merge just like the banks:

1. Ministry of Monitoring & Evaluation:

Each ministry could have its own internal monitoring and evaluation department, negating the need for the creation of such a ministry.

2. Ministries of Roads & Highways, Transport, Aviation and Railway Development:

The ministries of Roads and Highways, Aviation, Railway & Development and Transport, should be merged to form one ministry, to be referred to as the Ministry of Transport.

3. Offices of the Senior Minister and Chief of Staff:

These offices could be merged to create one office that oversees the work of all ministries.

4. Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Reorganization:

The Ministry of Local Government could have a special unit responsible for the reorganization of the regions of Ghana

5. The Ministry of Business Development and the Ministry of Special Development Initiative:

The Ministry of Special Development Initiative could have a special department focused on Business Development.
