- Ghana’s Kadri Mohammed has joined Arsenal Tula
- He signed a year deal with the Russian top-flight side from FK Austria Wien
Former Ashanti Gold defender, Kadri Mohammed, has officially found a new club after his proposed move to United Arab Emirates hit a snag.
The Ghanaian international, who has capped four times for the West African giants, has joined Russian side Arsenal Tula from from FK Austria Wien.
Mohammed completed his move to the Russian top-flight side on Thursday. He signed a one-year loan deal.
The 22-year-old hard tackler joined the Austrian side two seasons ago from four-time Ghanaian champions Ashanti Gold.
The Ghanaian has been looking for a new challenge with a different club after making 22 appearances for the side last season.
Two weeks ago, Mohammed came close in joining Baniyas but the move stalled after the two parties failed to reach an agreement.
With the move failing to materialized, Austrian Wien sporting director Ralf Muhr in an interview revealed the reasons behind Mohammed’s botched move.
"The deal broke because apparently no agreement was reached between the player or the management and the club." he said.
However, in less than three weeks, the bulky defender has signed for new club with an option to make it permanent.
Mohammed thus becomes the fourth Ghanaian player to be playing for Arsenal Tula after Abeiku Quansah, Dominica Adiyiah and Richmond Nketiah.
