Akufo-Addo’s bodyguard 'punches' old man on camera

- President Akufo-Addo's bodyguard has been captured on camera 'punching' an old man

- The old man was said to have breached security protocol of the president during a tour

One of the bodyguards of President Akufo-Addo has been spotted on a viral video ‘punching’ the face of an ‘old man’ during a tour.

The old man, believed to be in his late 60s, got a humiliation of his life after he was captured on camera trying to exchange pleasantries with the president.

The viral video, which is making rounds on various on various social media platforms is generating huge anger among many Ghanaians.

Although we cannot immediately confirm the offense of the old man, he has been accused of breaching security protocol of the president.

In a 33-second video, the man, believed to be a sympathizer of Akufo-Addo is seen rushing toward the president’s official car as he shouts “Nana nie”, in a clearly complementary fashion to shake the president’s hand.

However, the sequence of the old man’s wish was sadly twisted, as he was met with a heavy ‘punch’ from the President’s security guard that sent him to the ground.

The actions of the president’s security guard caught the attention of many onlookers who have trooped to the ground, including the president himself.

The event which is believed to have occurred at one of the presidents nationwide tour has sharply divided social media users over the treatment meted out to the old man.

While some supports and justifies the actions of the President’s bodyguard, others are fuming with anger, claiming the old man was unfairly assaulted.

This is not the first reported case of presidential bodyguards humiliating grass root persons in their attempts to catch a closer glimpse of their leader.

Meanwhile, a number of Ghanaians have condemned the inhuman act of President Akufo-Addo's security guard, calling for justice for the old man who was captured on camera being ‘assaulted’.
