Mahama's bodyguard allegedly punched out someone's teeth but victim denies

- A man named Afoko has denied that his teeth was knocked out by Mahama's bodyguard but accepts that he was punched

- The man nicknamed Afoko said that he was going to sue the one peddling the story

On a morning show at Bole-based Nkilgi FM, a communicator for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), conceded that he was punched by a bodyguard of Former President John Mahama. This was after he had attempted to get close to the first gentleman of the land.

Sandu Sulemana, popularly known as Afoko, is the NDC communicator in question. He however denies that his teeth were knocked out in the incident with the bodyguard.

On the radio show called Hot Issues, monitored by, Afoko was dared by the New Patriotic Party representative on the programme to speak on the issue.

The rep, Raphael Akiti Mahama, was speaking on a recent incident involving president Nana Akufo-Addo.

Last week, the video surfaced of a bodyguard preventing an NPP sympathiser from greeting the president. The middle-aged man was punched to the ground by the bodyguard to the surprise of some on-watchers.

The matter has raised the age-old suspicion of politicians being inaccessible to their electorates after wining power. But some are on the side of the bodyguard saying he did the right thing to protect the president.

Narrating his own ordeal in the hands of Mahama’s bodyguard, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist, Sandu Sulemana, said the incident happened when he (John Dramani Mahama) came for the funeral of one Mahama Abanga.

He denied that his teeth was knocked out and that he was looking to sue the NPP communicator for misrepresenting the truth on air.
