- Jose Mourinho has insisted that Paul Pogba is happy at Manchester United
- The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona
- Catalan giants are happy with his performances for France at the 2018 World Cup
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that France international star Paul Pogba is happy at the club despite being linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona.
Before the close of Thursday's transfer deadline, Spanish club Barcelona submitted bids to sign the Frenchman, but Manchester Manchester United turned down the offers.
But Barcelona are also said to be ready to go back for the 25-year-old midfielder before the La Liga window closes on August 31.
Jose Mourinho says there is no problem with Paul Pogba at Old Trafford and he could even play in tonight’s Premier League opener against Leicester City.
“Paul arrived back on Monday happy, proud, with a desire to work. He worked amazingly well on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
“He is one of the players I have to speak to so as to see how he feels physically and mentally. But it’s the same conversation as with Ashley Young, Marouane Fellaini and Jesse Lingard.
“We need words with that small group to see if they can give us a hand,'' the former Chelsea boss said according to UK Sun.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Manchester United star Paul Pogba was said to have agreed a five-year deal worth £100m with reigning Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona.
But Manchester United chiefs refused to do any business with the Catalan giants on the transfer of Paul Pogba who won the 2018 FIFA World Cup title in Russia.
