A self-styled man of God, Emmanuel Nash, has defrauded an event organizer, Deluxy Rose Events, of an amount of GHC3200.
Information obtained from MyNewsGH.com shows that he doubles as the organizer of the Ghana Peace Awards.
Shedding light on the matter, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Deluxy Rose Events, Aborelie Achira-Mills, revealed that she received a call to be at the Banquet Hall to prepare the place for the Ghana Peace Awards in October 2017.
She added that the she demanded an initial deposit from the soft-spoken man before she embarks on such a project.
Pleas from the Canadian Embassy and the Former Inspector General of Police, John Kudalor however convinced her to prepare the event, which saw eight-hundred people in attendance.
“I went to the bank a day after the programme to cash my money but the cheque bounced. I went the following day and the cheque bounced again.
I went there again on the third day and the cheque bounced again,” a worried Abolere narrated her frustration.
Several calls to Nash went unanswered, and a visit to the church he worships at showed that he is only a member, and not the head as initially stated.
She then proceeded to his house and caused his arrest, after which he paid GHC4000 out of the total amount owed and pleaded that the matter be settled without the police involved.
Emmanuel Nash, who resides at Nungua in Accra has since gone into hiding and his whereabouts currently unknown.
