Chelsea got their 2018-19 premier League campaign off to a winning start after beating Huddersfield 3-0 at the John Smith's Stadium.
World Cup winning star N'golo Kante got the Blues started in the 34th minute through a close range jab into the net.
Just four minutes after conceding their first goal, Mathias Joergensen tried restoring parity for his side as he rose up to head the ball in the 38th minute, but he was denied by the wood works.
David Wagner's men continued to pressure for an equaliser before the sounded the whistle to end the first half.
Instead, they conceded another goal from a Jorginho spot kick as he sent the goalkeeper the wrong way in the 45th minute.
Marcos Alonso won the penalty for the west London club after being hacked down in the danger zone by Christopher Schindler. After which the referee ended the game.
On return to the pitch, Huddersfield made a quick chance as Laurent Depoitre comes in for Alex Pritchard before the commencement of the second half.
With two goals advantage, Chelsea were in control of the possession as they got a good chance to add to their tally in the 57th minute but an Alonso acrobatic kick hit the post.
In the 68th minute, Maurizio Sarri made his first substitution as Ross Barkley stepped out for Ruben Loftus-Cheek as he continued to pressure for his first three points of the season.
Laurent Depoitre had a chance of reducing Hurddersfield deficit but his shot went way off target in the 76th minute.
And in the 80th minute, Pedro Rodriguez made it three for the FA Cup champions after chipping the ball a little above Ben Hamer to make it 3-0 for Chelsea.
After which the manager brought him out for Super Eagles winger Victor Moses who comes in the 81st minute in a tactical substitution.
With the visitors pressuring for more goals, Alvaro Morata tried a solo run on the dot of 90 minutes but his shot was blocked by Hurddersfield defender.
After three minutes added time, referee Chris Kavanagh signaled the end of the game as the Blues grabbed maximum points and also kept clean sheet in the game.
