Ghana and Red Star Belgrade defender Rashid Sumaila marries beautiful midwife

Ghana international and Red Star Belgrade defender Rashid Sumaila has joined the list of married footballers in the country.

The former Asante Kotoko centre-back has married his sweetheart, Mimi Abdallah at a ceremony which took place over the weekend.

Sumaila Rashid, 25, on Monday took to social media to thank Allah for the success of the marriage ceremony.

Born December 18, 1992, in Cape Coast the defender is currently on a one year loan at Red Star Belgrade from Qadsia SC.

Making his Ghana Premier League debut with his hometown club, Ebusua Dwarfs in the 2010-2011 season, Rashid was adjudged the best defender for the season.

He joined Ghanaian giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko after the 2011-2012 season before moving to Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa after just a year at Kotoko.

He returned to Kotoko on loan after a year in South Africa before being transferred to Qadsia in Kuwait.

On the national team front, he has played at the Under-20, Under-23 and the senior national team levels.

He has been in and out of the Black Stars since his first call up in 2011.
