- A group of people have escorted the CEO of Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr. David Zaawumya Kolbila, from his office
- According to them, he lacks basic management and leadership skills to run the facility
YEN.com.gh is in possession of a video which shows the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH), Dr. David Zaawumya Kolbila, being escorted from his office.
Information available from MyNewsGH.com shows that those captured in the video are members of the Kandahar Boys, a vigilante group associated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to sources, other managers of the hospital were also forced out of the facility as well.
The reason for the action, YEN.com.gh has learnt, is because the residents of Tamale are unhappy with the CEO’s management and leadership style.
The key to the office of Dr. Kolbila is reportedly in the possession of Razak, one of the leaders of the group.
At the moment, it is uncertain if the matter has been reported to the police, but it is a known fact that this is not the first time the group has done this to a health institution in the region.
In May 2018, the Northern Regional Director of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Samuel Quarshie, fled from his office to an unknown destination for over a month now, after the group accused him of unnecessary meddling in the affairs of other staff and chasing them out of office.
