- Linear Addy was the head of the Ghana Football Association's women's committee
- Her job with SSNIT was not related to football yet the company took their decision
According to Sika FM in Kumasi, the Social Security and National Investment Trust (SSNIT) have reportedly sacked Madam Linear Addy after she was featured as a guilty party in the Number 12 exposé done by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The station reports that Linear Addy was sacked two weeks ago after the executive members of the institution sat on her case regarding the Number 12 exposé.
Addy was caught on Camera receiving GHc 300 as a match commissioner to influence an FA Cup game between Hearts of Oak and Kotoku Royals. She was the head of women's football in the country in the defunct Ghana Football Association.
Although Addy's job at SSNIT was in no way related to football, the company might have felt her actions as shown by the investigations brought their name into disrepute. It is unclear if she means to challenge this.
Addy was not the only casualty from the investigations. Former president Kwesi Nyantakyi resigned his position for the GFA due to the investigations.
The government of Ghana in the wake of the brouhaha brought by the investigations constituted an interim committee comprising Abedi Pele, Kofi Amoah and Rev Osei Kofi to oversee affairs of football in Ghana.
