I’ll choose to join Al-Qaeda over NPP – Amaliba

- NDC member, Abraham Amaliba has intimated that he cannot join the NPP under any circumstance

- According to the him, he is better off as a member of the al-Qæda group than being an NPP member

A legal team member of the National Democratic Congress [NDC], Abraham Amaliba has said he will never join the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) under any circumstance.

Speaking on Citi TV's Breakfast Daily Show, Mr. Amaliba said “I will rather join Al-Qaeda than the NPP”.

The comment by Mr. Amaliba, followed a view by a member of the NPP legal team, Mr. Gary Nimako that he [Amaliba] will defect to the NPP after President Nana Akufo Addo is done delivering on his promises to Ghanaians.

Amaliba vehemently interjected and said he would instead prefer being a terrorist for Al-Qaeda.

He opined that NPP Government under President Nana Akufo-Addo has resorted to public deception by claiming that his government is delivering on their promises.

This is not a President you can trust because already he has not been able to provide for his promises and it makes it difficult for anyone to trust him.”

“He said by the end of this year the Kumasi road would be improved. I ply the Kumasi road a lot to the North, I hope you will invite me by the end of this year, so I come here and have a chat about the road,” he told the host of the Breakfast Daily show.

YEN earlier reported that Pastor Mensa Otabil says he was not involved in the routine management of Capital Bank prior to it's collapse.

According to the revered man of God, he was only a non-executive board chair of the defunct bank.
