Famous sportsmen who are into music

They are known to be sportsmen but their music career is another thing many people have no idea about.

These sports men have always displayed their musical prowess and some of them have won awards.

Asamoah Gyan (Footballer)

The Kayserispor and Ghana forward burst into the music scene in 2010 when he featured Castro in a song titled ‘Ghana Girls.'

Following the disappearance of Gyan’s friend, Castro, in 2014, the Black Stars captain put a break on his music career.

Gyan returned in 2018 to collaborate with BET award winner Stonebwoy and they released a song titled 'Enemies.' The track has received massive airplay both locally and internationally.

Manny Pacquaio (Boxer)

Pacquaio is known for his aggressiveness and skills in the ring, but he is also good when signing.

In 2006, he released his first album ‘Lagan Nating Nahat Ito.’ Prior to his multi-million dollar fight with Floyd Mayweather jnr. in 2015, the Filipino released another banger dedicating it to his countrymen.

Osar De La Hoya (former boxer)

De La Hoya released a self-titled album of Latin Pop back in 2000 and it got a Grammy nomination.

During his active career, he won multiple world titles in six different weight classes, including the lineal championship in three weight classes and is ranked as the 11th best boxer of all time, pound for pound, by BoxRec.

Bukom Banku (Boxer)

Braimah Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Boxing is a Ghanaian boxer who is also into music.

The cruiserweight boxer has recorded lots of tracks with upcoming artistes like Nii Funny and King Jerry.

Emmanuel Boateng (Footballer)

Levante and Black Stars forward Emmanuel Boateng announced his music career two months ago.

He has recorded a gospel song with the title “Oluwa Dey” meaning “God lives.”

Boateng shot to fame after scoring a hat-trick against Barcelona in their 5-4 win in last season’s La Liga game.
