Samuel Eto'o joins Qatar Sports club

- Qatar Sports Club have announced the signing of Samuel Eto'o

- The former Barcelona and Chelsea star will be unveiled on Tuesday, August 14

- He last played for Konyaspor football club in Turkey

African football legend Samuel Eto'o has agreed to join Qatari top flight side Qatar Sports Club and the club have even confirmed the latest development on social media.

Qatar SC explained that a press conference will be held later on Tuesday, August 14, where they will present the former Chelsea and Barcelona star to the public.

The 37-year-old moves to Qatar after leaving Turkish club Konyaspor by mutual consent earlier this month.

Eto'o who has won the African footballer of the year award four times will join his former teammate at Barcelona Xavi in the Qatari League.

Eto'o scored over 100 goals in five seasons with Barcelona, and is also the record holder in number of appearances by an African player in La Liga.

In 2010, he became the first player to win two European continental trebles following his back-to-back achievements with Barcelona and Inter Milan.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how former Barcelona and Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o paid a visit to Peter Okoye, one half of the P-Square group, and his wife in their Park-view home mansion in Ikoyi.

The famous music artiste is a well-known supporter of the Blues, a fact evident when he paid the club a visit last year and posed for pictures with players.
