Assistant Auditor

  • Maintain working papers for review when the audit process is completed
  • Facilitates the preparation of the audit observations before submission to the Unit leader

Auditor

  • Carry out various basic audit duties to confirm the accuracy of the transactions and whether or not the rules and regulations of auditing have been adhered to.

  • Maintaining sufficient working papers.
  • Prepare observations of the audit using adequate working papers.

Senior Auditor

  • Must ensure that the subordinates are working as expected.
  • Must be part of the team that reviews and evaluates management controls.
  • Prepare and submit adequate working papers to the Unit Leader.

  • Take part in writing a draft report for the audit.
  • Ensure that tasks are completed by the expected deadlines.
  • Can be assigned other roles by the Unit Leader, the head of the branch or the District Auditor.

Principal Auditor

  • Should contribute towards the formulation of the audit strategies , the schedules for completing the tasks and how the execution of tasks during the audit will be managed.
  • Must oversee the first stage review and make sure that the quality assurance and review requirements are adhered to.
  • Assess the effectiveness of management controls, review and evaluate the management system together with the team members.
  • Supervise and take part in the preparation of the Job Progressive Performance Monitoring Reports for the assignment.
  • Keep working papers for review when the audit process is completed.
  • Work with the Unit Head to develop the draft audit report. This report must be supported by sufficient working papers before submission to the head of the branch or the District Auditor.
  • Oversee the work of the subordinates’ and ensure that all audit assignments are competed before the set dates.
  • Can be assigned other roles by the Unit Leader or the District Auditor.

Assistant Director of Audit

  • Contribute towards the formulation of the Service policies, strategic and annual plans and their implementation.
  • Prepare a draft for the Section’s Annual Audit/Legal Plan.
  • Oversee that the policies and plans of the Section are implemented in the right manner.
  • Contribute towards the establishment and implementation of the guidelines and methodologies for the audit.
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of the internal control system.
  • Provide a draft for the Annual Activity Report.
  • Provide drafts for the Progress or Case Reports.

  • Oversees preparation of the periodic Progress or Case Reports.
  • Contribute towards the development of the Section/District/function’s Annual Budget.
  • Leads in the execution of the Section/District/function’s Human Resource Policy.

Assistant Auditor-General – Legal

  • Contribute towards the formulation of the Service policies, strategic and annual plans and their implementation.
  • Ensures the formulation and execution of the Section’s Annual Legal Plan.
  • Prepares prosecution/ defense cases.
  • Follows up on court judgments.
  • Contributes towards the formulation and execution of legal standards, methodologies and certification of public accounting systems.
  • Prepares Periodic Progress Reports and Annual activity and submits to the A-G and the ASB.
