Assin Central declare their intention to vote against Kennedy Agyapong if he stands again

- The people of Assin Central have welcomed the decision of their MP, Kennedy Agyapong, not to contest the 2020 elections

- According to them, there are others capable of representing them in Parliament

The people of Assin Central have welcomed the decision of their Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong, to retire from parliament.

Agyapong, after appearing before the Privileges Committee with regard to his comments about Parliament, stated that he will no contest for his seat again.

He went on to say that upon discussions with his wife, he has resolved to leave Parliament in 2020.

“My wife told me not to contest again after watching the video. She agrees that indeed what I said was true. I will leave Parliament and become a star.

My constituents will see how hard life will be for them when I leave parliament. I will not contest again,” he said on Adom TV’s Badwan programme.

According to a report by MyNewsGH.com, the people of Assin Central are excited by the news.

They argued that their current MP isn’t the only one who can represent them in the house of lawmakers, as there are others with the knowledge and expertise.

They went ahead to say that they are fed up with him, and it is time he left the stage for someone to represent them.
