- Kuami Eugene has surpassed all individual Ghanaian artistes and groups on YouTube in the last year with 15.6 million views
- These numbers show clearly the Eugene is perhaps the most marketable artiste in Ghana now
According to easily verifiable statistics available on YouTube, Lynxx Entertainment artiste Kuami Eugene, is the biggest artiste in Ghana at the moment. This is if you are calculating how many times his videos have been watched in the last 12 months.
The attempt at using numbers from social media platforms to judge who is hot and who is not in showbiz is not a new phenomenon. Artistes, critics and others concerned with entertainment have been known to do that for at least a decade.
In the last 12 months alone (from September of 2017), Lynxx Entertainment has posted 3 music videos for songs by Kuami Eugene on his behalf. This is discounting all other videos of the artiste in which he was featured or in a live stage performance.

The three music videos are for Angela, Confusion and Wish Me Well which have all been hits on the airwaves. Combined together, they have been watched 15.6 million times.
Sarkodie's Adonai music video posted four years ago is perhaps the most watched Ghanaian content ever on YouTube. But Adonai and even all of Sark's other videos have not made as much in the last year as Eugene's three videos.
Other popular artistes on air and in clubs include Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, MzVee and Medikal. Individually, none of these have been able to pull even half of Eugene's numbers on YouTube.

This current trend will definitely not be forever but it tells an important picture for the young Kuami Eugene. He is arguably one of the most marketable artistes if not the most marketable.
