- The research was conducted by two psychologists over a number of years
- It turns out what men like see on a woman's chest depends on what these men can afford
Discussions on what straight men like in women have always been connected with myths. But on this occasion, two researchers are making the case that what men would like to see on women's chests often depend on how money these men have in the bank.
The researchers, Viren Swami and Martin Tovee are connecting physical preferences men have with the money they possess. For the two researchers it often turned out in their investigations that "big-chested" women were preferred by relatively poorer men.
Comparatively richer men on the other hand, prefer women with less than fuller chests. The researchers explain that this finding is steeped in social psychology.
The studies which are two separate ones, date back several years. They have finally shed some light on the question, pointing out some surprising factors.
For the first experiment, they explored the relationship between financial security and men’s preferences in size. They recruited 266 men from three parts of Malaysia that varied in socio-economic status.
They then compared breast size ratings in a second experiment which reflected upon the evolutionary perspective of breast size. That is, they asked the men if they suspected that sizes of bosoms had something to do with child-bearing potentials of women.
It turns out men who have material or financial security do not seem eager to have women with fuller chests. The opposite is however true for men with less material and financial security.
