Before the album release ‘Astroworld', Travis Scott had us excited for his latest release. He teased us with ‘Butterfly Effect' and The Battle of Wits with Drake over the status of a human meme. Travis Scott album follows from his previous highly successful sophomore album ‘Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight' that was released last year. The release of the album is set to dethrone Drake's Scorpion which is currently held at second No.1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. Drake has had a long run at the number 1 spot for five weeks. The album has been forecasted to open up next week's chart with an equivalent of 450,000 equivalent album units to surpass the record currently held by Drake. We look at the comments and reactions that came after the release of this album.
Travis Scott Astroworld
Travis Scott is the undisputed champion when it comes the style of a raging Rockstar when it comes to the hearts of the youth. The Houston-born rapper has done an excellent job in creating his style. He is also backed up by super extreme live performances that have reincarnated his stature in the industry. He has been consistent throughout the year with a couple of mixtapes and albums under his belt.
The theme parked album has done quite impressively especially on the streaming services. A unique hand has to go to Scott's official website for selling the Astroworld-inspired merchandise bundles. Also, his current relationship with the new billionaire in town, Kylie, has broadened his fan base.
Before the release of the Travis Scott album, he had shared two official album covers that were shot by David LaChapelle. The ‘Astroworld' feels like you are being taken on a rollercoaster ride through the eccentric theme park that depicted in the artwork.
The hype that was generated before the release of the album had created a massive demand in the market. This is quite dangerous since it can either lead to high sales for the work or failure to meet the expectations of the market and flatter. The same thing happened with ‘views' especially with hit singles like ‘one dance' and ‘hotline bling.' The same goes for Scorpion with ‘God's plan,' ‘nice for what' and now the world's craze ‘in my feelings.' So does Astroworld fit the title and hype? Does Travis Scott deliver?
The voices from the album will make you recognize with the leap out from the shadows and make you melt away. This comes with the top Amoeba Records in Hollywood. The cover is the same head.

Travis Scott songs
Here are some of the solid tracks from the album that are set to take the world by storm:
1. Travis Scott "Stargazing"
To start us off is this somewhat spooky vibe that the record has. But it is a customer when it comes to Travis this time going off the aura of the Scooby Doo monster. The production did an excellent job on the drums that blow your mind off speaking. It is reminiscent of the pop rocks exploding, but it clears the path for his lush melody. This makes the theme song for the video-game album trailer that was dropped.
It is quite hard to make out the words that come from the banging beats, but mumble rap has taken over, and words don't matter anymore. It has a pretty catchy hook, ‘psychedelic got me going crazy.' This is just another druggie quote that we won't all relate to. At least he remains focused on the rest of the song.
2. Travis Scott "Carousel" ft. Frank Ocean
We all know the legendary harmony that Frank Ocean brings to an album have Kanye West previous albums in mind. The intro of the song will have you trying to figure out what are they saying. It has a slow buildup, and the beat picks up, and things start getting exciting. This time Travis comes through with rapping straightforward. Frank Ocean is the secret ingredient to a jam-packed album. Even though the rest of the song is maintained on a weird tempo, Frank makes it worthwhile for your listening.

3. Travis Scott "Sicko" mode ft. Drake
The album is beginning to catch up with the tempo. It has a perfect switch up with fantastic drum sets throughout the song. It has a different taste regarding production than the usual ones that e have gotten used to Travis rapping on. Everything is switched up from the beats to the vocal, but it is taking a turn for the best. We hear some of the great Travis Scott's stunt lyrics like ‘she thought it was the ocean, but it's just a pool.' Drake also remains solid and composed in his verse on the trap flow. This is a solid ten for the album and a rather significant breakdown. Hope it is maintained throughout the remaining 14 tracks.
4. Travis Scott "R.I.P Screw" ft. Swae Lee
Remember we were on a rollercoaster ride; well this track seems to take a slow turn as tribute is paid to DJ Screw. It is an excellent show of paying homage, and I bet that his hometown will be proud. There is so much going on in the track however which makes it hard to capture Swae lee's vocals. But finally, we get to hear the vocals from SremmXXX. It is a perfect blend of the two. There is a balance of the beats and gives us the chance to digest the lyrics. So far, the album is sounding good.
5. Travis Scott "Stop trying to be God" ft. James Blake, Kid Cudi & Stevie Wonder
In the track, we get to listen to first hand to Kid Cudi's hum which has reached new amazing levels. It has always been a perfect match between Kid Cudi and Travis from the days of ‘Kids See Ghosts 2'. Then we are blessed with Stevie Wonder's harmonica that will bring you to tears. This brings out the unique artistic voice of Travis. James Blake and Cudi takes us to a new dimension that is full of soul. This is a showcase of Kanye's protégé.
6. Travis Scott "No bystander's" ft Juice WRLD & Sheck Wes
This was an opportune moment for Juice WRLD to steal the show. I mean who forgot to include him in this year's 2018 Freshmen XXL class? He has done much well compared to other names that made the list like BlockBoy JB, Ski Mask The Slump God and J.I.D. Travis Scott also fastens the flow backed up by impressive background vocals. It has high energy and will be a highlight for his forthcoming live performances.
7. Travis Scott "Skeletons" ft. Tame Impala, The Weeknd & Pharell Williams
The set is quite odd since all the artists have different flows. It has a high tempo which leaves the question, will The Weekend keep up? It also has heavy keys with a nice texture and Travis is back on the auto-tune notes. He picks up the Kanye flow and takes it to another element. Out of nowhere, The Weeknd appears and keeps up with the set pace. This is reminiscent of ‘All of the lights.'
8. Travis Scott "Wake up" ft. The Weeknd
These guitar hymns are sure to get your attention like a sort of broken record that still has the consistency and melody. The drums sound good and pave the way for Travis. It feels like they tried to make the song extra hype but ended up making it too thin. It feels like a couple of ideas that have failed to be put up together correctly.
9. Travis Scott "5% Tint"
This is where we get to vibe with the flow from Travis in the buildup to the bass line and the keys together. This is how Travis sounded five years ago. It could have been a heaven-sent record if he could have had Future drop some bars on the beats.
10. Travis Scott "NC-17" ft. 21 Savage
From the track, we listen to a new side of Travis we have not heard before. Did he create a new voice? However, the pitch sounds good and hopes he maintains it in the meantime. 21 Savage comes through with some jaw-dropping punch lines as he blends perfectly into the beat. The producer needs to do the same thing with 21 Savage since he kills the verse.
The 17 track album is set to have a run in the Billboard top albums of the year. This is not just your everyday amusement park themed album. He delivers from the roller coaster production to the cotton candy melodies. There are also instances where we get to listen firsthand to a different side of Travis. He has come a long way, and we feel the steady growth in his music and delivery. He also has unveiled a new voice with a fantastic pitch that we wish he uses in his future works. I feel that every screw, bolt, and nail have been sealed before it was installed.
