- This is not the first time the Zylofon has had to rejects reports of a political career
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zylofon Media, Mr. Nana Appiah Mensah has rejected reports that he is looking to run for the presidency of Ghana in 2020. Mr Mensah described such reports as "fake news."
In the Instagram post sighted by YEN.com.gh, the man popularly known as NAM 1, pointed that the news emanated from the stables of 4Syte TV. According to the statement from the Zylofon boss, 4Syte TV did not speak to him about that issue.
He also stated categorically that he has no interest in running for the office. Mr Mensah mentioned that he is not attarcted to partisan politics.
The statement read: “My attention has been drawn to some fake news by 4syte TV this morning suggesting I would be running 2020 Presidential Elections.
I wish to state that the report is false and has no basis in fact.4syte TV made no attempt to contact me before they published the news and this is completely against the ethics of good journalism."
The requisite age needed for one to apply to contest the Ghanaian presidency is 40 years. It is not clear if Mr Mensah is that old although such information is not available to the wider public.

This is also not the first time Nana Appiah Mensah has been caught up in talk of running for political office.
A few weeks ago, he had to quash speculation that he was aiming to go to Parliament.
