Controversial Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has revealed that he earned an amount of $15,000 from producers of ‘Beasts of No Nation’.
According to him, he was offered that amount as payment for most of the boys using his songs during the making of the movie in Ghana about four years ago.
YEN.com.gh cannot say which of Shatta Wale’s songs were sang when the movie was being produced.
Meanwhile, ‘Beasts of No Nation’ has been in the news for some time now following a revelation by one of the actors, Strika, that some people have pocketed his money as published by YEN.com.gh.
According to Strika, also called Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, one Kofi Rabbit, a co-actor, and Zowi, an American cast of the movie agreed with him to keep his money in the bank while they acted as signatories.
Per the agreement, the account would be kept and manned by the two men because Strika, at that time, was not yet eighteen and so could not operate a bank account.
However, now eighteen and almost turning nineteen, Strika said calls on Kofi Rabbit and Zowi to hand over the management of his account to him have not yielded positive results.
Zowi, Strika explained, is not in Ghana at the moment and so seems dull with his request to manage his own account, but Kofi Rabbit, who lives here in Ghana, has totally ignored his calls to have his account details handed over to him.
Strika also revealed in another story published by YEN.com.gh that his manager, Mr. Mawuko, ‘defrauded’ him by claiming to have used an amount of $10,000 to buy a suit for him.
That money was the payment he allegedly received after starring in another movie, ‘Jungle Justice’.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh also published the reaction of Strika’s management following the allegations and accusations he made.
