Most often than not, people tend to underestimate beautiful women by narrowing reach these women are expected to get to. Many feel that beauty does not usually come with brains and that has rightly upset many women.
YEN.com.gh puts the focus on a woman who is both beautiful and brilliant. Nikki Samonas, with all that she has accomplished and continue to do, should help overcome the idea that beautiful women may not be strong and intelligent.
Samonas was born in 1985 to a Greek father and a Ghanaian mother. By 2008, she was appearing on screen in minor roles as an actress.
Samons first movie role was in The President's Daughter which starred a then already-famous Nadia Buari. But she cam to limelight in 2005 after she featured in the TV series Ladies and Gentlemen.
Acting was not passing phase because Samonas went on to sweep a number of awards. She won the 2011 City People Entertainment Awards for best supporting actress and the 2014 Ghana Movie Awards for Short movie Love At The time of Odwira, a short film she directed.
These days, Samonas is a TV host with TV Africa. The most interesting thing about her show is that she has been moved into an area where has she talk politics, developmental issues and likes but she is excelling.
The refreshingaspect of Samonas' journey is that she has not given up on portraying her femininity despite the challenges associated with that in Ghanaian culture. She seems to be underrated in how she fit all aspects of the modern woman together.
