Pastor Ebenezer Ato Kessie, the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church pastor whose five family members perished in a fire incident has said he feels empty without his wife.
The five died after their house at Akokofoto, a suburb of Dansoman, caught fire last Sunday.
They were Mrs. Linda Kessie, the 31-year-old wife of the pastor; his mother-in-law, Grace Ampah aged 65; his 3-week-old baby Jason Kessie; Jaiden Kesse aged 5; and Precious Pokuah aged 9.
In a heart-wrenching tribute to his wife at the funeral of the five victims, he said one of his biggest regrets was that he could not say goodbye to his wife who was a pillar in his life.
"It is hard to accept your sudden death my dearest lover especially when I didn’t have the chance to say goodbye," Pastor Kessie said emotionally, adding "I wish you can hear me but you cannot," Graphic.com.gh reported him to have said.
He added "I never knew the power and reality of death until it hit my family," stressing that death, the enemy, has visited him.
Pastor Kessie was not the only one in tears as the whole atmosphere at the funeral was so heartbreaking leaving many people weeping.
In photos YEN.com.gh earlier posted, almost everyone at the funeral ceremony could be seen in tears.
A sister of Linda Kessie who read her tributes and that of children who died in the inferno broke down after reading that of the three-week-old baby.
The five have since been buried at the Gbawe cemetery in Accra.
