- According to voters in our poll, the NDC will beat the NPP 58% to 42% in 2020
- Over three thousand people were polled over a a day
According to the readers of YEN.com.gh, if presidential elections were held today, Ghanaians would massively vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). This was the result of a day long survey via our Facebook page last week.
Followers on our social media page were asked a simple question: All things being equal, which party will you vote for in the 2020 elections?
The poll garnered over three thousand votes and five hundred comments. At the end of it, the NDC had 58% as compared to the governing New Patriotic Party's (NPP) 42%.
YEN.com.gh has a following of over 900 thousand on Facebook. These people coming from all parts of Ghana tend to give an idea that they cover the broad view of public opinion in the country.
With the wide influence YEN.com.gh has in the Ghanaian media space, who is to say the poll might not reflect reality.
For a man who won the presidency only two years by about 1 million votes, Nana Akufo-Addo's re-election in 2020 is not for the taking, if our readers' votes are taken into account. This should worry the rank and file of the NPP.
