Tell Nana Addo to fix the bad roads just as you told me - Mahama tells Pentecost Church

- John Mahama has called for the Pentecost Church of Ghana to admonish Nana Addo to fix bad roads

- The former president feels it is only fair they place the same pressure on Nana Addo as they did him

John Dramani Mahama seems to have started his campaign even before he gets cleared at the party's national delegates conference.

It all started when John Mahama charged leadership of the Pentecost Church of Ghana to admonish the president to fix the last stretch of the road that leads to their convention center at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central region.

Speaking at the farewell service of the immediate past chairman Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, Mahama stated that even though his administration did some work on the road to the center, it must be completed to match the state of the edifice.

“If you arrived here and you saw the work that had been done here in terms of the magnificence of the center and the road that led here, it was like day and night.

And I took a cue from it and so I directed the officers of the urban roads and they did some work on it.

This time a lot of the journey came on good roads but the last stretch leading here still needs to be fixed and I hoped that my successor the President was here so you told him the same thing you told me so that the road will be completed. And the work will be perfect,” Mahama said amidst laughter from the crowd.

Mahama and 2020 elections

Already, all ten regional party chairmen of the NDC have endorsed Mahama and also advised him to lead the party. In a draft letter, all chairmen signed in approval of John Mahama being the next flag bearer of the NDC yet again.

The former president, John Mahama, has paid a courtesy call on the founder of the NDC, Jerry John Rawlings. This move can be seen by all as a very strategic one if indeed the former one-term president is poised to contest elections yet again in the 2020 elections.

It is no secret that Jerry Rawlings has been the fulcrum upon which several elections are positioned hence the strategy by Mahama to pay a courtesy call on him. Already, Jerry Rawlings has had his take on the politics of the NDC as he attributed their defeat in 2016 to greed and corruption.

There have been various pictures of an obvious rift between the former president and some key officials of the party.
