- Actress Yvonne Okoro has indicated she was not under pressure to get married

- She revealed that she did not want her marriage to end up in divorce

Award-winning Ghanaian-Nigerian actress, Yvonne Okoro, has opened up on why she is still single and has given her reason for waiting for the right time to walk down the aisle.

According to the ‘Contract’ actress, she did not want her marriage to be part of the numerous divorce cases in courts hence her edge to wait for the right time to settle down with the right man.

She indicated that it was about time Africans stopped putting unnecessary pressure on ladies to get married.

Yvonne Okoro opined that such pressures pushed many women to settle with people who may later make life unbearable for them.

On the kind of man she preferred to take as a husband, she indicated that she was in search of a man who loves her, loves his mother and not necessarily a good looking guy.

Sometime back, the actress claimed that men did not have the courage to approach her.

The issue is men don’t have balls to come forward to ask me out because they think I am already hooked or perhaps I am very high maintenance," she told Showbiz in an interview during the launch of the Glam Africa Magazine in Accra.

Yvonne Okoro made headlines when she added her voice to lambast KOD for his ‘All over the place’ comments he made in reference to John Dumelo’s wedding to Gifty Mawunya.

The actress felt offended by the radio personality’s comments and made it known by taking to her social media account to ‘call him to order’.

Yvonne Okoro again noted that female celebrities found it difficult to find love because many men found them to be intimidating.
