I want players who can die for the nation - Kwesi Appiah

- Coach Kwesi Appiah has revealed why he dropped Asamoah Gyan and the Ayew brother

- According to him, he will only invite players who are committed

Black Stars Coach, Kwesi Appiah, has disclosed why he dropped some top key players ahead of the 2019 AFCON qualifier against Kenya.

Ahead of the upcoming clash coach Kwesi Appiah snubbed Asamoah Gyan, the Ayew brothers, Jonathan Mensah and Mubarak Wakaso.

Coach Kwesi Appiah has been criticized for dropping the aforementioned players for the duel against the Harambee Stars.

However, Kwesi Appiah in reacting said he invited players who are ready to die for the nation.

I also believe players must fight for their jerseys; no player is bigger than Ghana. You will bear with me that we don’t have players who bluff the nation due to the fact that we have a lot of gifted players," he said

Coach Kwesi Appiah will assemble his squad on September 3, 2018 where they will pitch camp in Ethiopia to prepare for the game against Kenya.

YEN.com.gh had earlier reported a story of Kwesi Appiah dropping Asamoah Gyan and the Ayew brothers ahead of the game against Kenya.

Kwesi Appiah’s latest squad include Kwadwo Asamoah who is making a return into the team after four years.
