Becca’s husband, Dr. Oluwatobi Saani Daniel, has named Ghanaian artistes who are on top of the Nigerian playlists.
The list released by the CEO of Nigeria-based State of Mind Entertainment is without the self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale.
According to him, there is broadcasting policy in Nigeria but Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, King Promise, Kuami Eugene and Kidi have been receiving massive airplay in Nigeria.
Dr. Daniel’s comment came after Ghanaian artistes were given cold reception by Nigerian fans last Friday during the Menzgold-Zylofon Naija launch.
He made this known in an interview with Accra-based Zylofon FM.
He said, “Yes, there is a broadcasting policy but Ghanaian artistes like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kidi, King Promise and Kuami Eugene are on top of Nigerian playlist most times,” he revealed.
His declaration will definitely spark debate in Ghana as Shatta Wale fans will not side with his statement.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh reported a story of Dr. Daniel explaining why Ghanaian artistes failed to glitter in Nigeria during last week’s show.
According to him, in order for one’s music to be accepted and recognized beyond his or her borders, there should be a stronger promotion for that.
Dr. Daniel married Ghanaian songstress, Becca, two weeks ago in Accra.
