- Ghanaian striker is set to divorce his wife
- The details of the impending collapse of their marriage have been made public
- He has been denied access to his son by his wife
Not too long ago, YEN.com.gh reported that Ghanaian international footballer, Majeed Waris, is set to divorce his wife after just 16 months of their marriage.
YEN.com.gh in following the case, has sighted some pictures of Habeeba Sinare, wife of the footballer.
According to reports, the impending divorce is stemming from Habeeba Sinare's acting career.
Habeeba Sinare, the wife of Majeed Waris, according to the reports, wants to continue her career in acting, but Waris believes the profession sometimes goes against the religious ethics of Islam, due to the sexual suggestive roles handed to characters.
Majeed Waris and Habeeba Sinare reportedly had disagreements over the subject and the latter is believed to have left their home in France with their three months baby without the knowledge of the footballer.
Habeeba Sinare is said to have refused to live in the family home at Adjiriganor in the suburb of Accra and has ditched the Islamic hijab, making her available to potential suitors.
Attempt to resolve the issue amicably also failed after a meeting between a delegation from Majeed Waris' family with the family of Sinare resulted in heated exchanges.
Habeeba is a daughter of Alhaji Saeed Sinare former Ghana Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a niece to popular Ghanaian actress Kalsoum Sinare
According to report by Ghanasoccernet.com sighted by YEN.com.gh, the former Lorient forward has been denied access to his son by his wife.
The player is also unaware of the whereabouts of his wife and son which has further strained the relationship.
The issue has led Habeeba to delete all pictures of the Nantes striker from her social media pages with Waris responding in kind.
The only picture of Waris and Habeeba was that of him together with his mother when they visited her in house in Tamale few days after their marriage just last year.
Waris, who is on a season at Nantes from Portuguese side FC Porto, married Habeeba in April 2017 and they welcomed the birth of their first child in February 2018.
Waris joins a long list of Ghanaian footballers who have faced or facing serious marital problems.
